GMC at the HTC Deepwater Technology Symposium

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Houston Technology Center’s Deepwater Technology Symposium! The event focused on cost saving technologies in the deepwater industry with speakers from DeepStar, 2H Offshore, GMC and Magma. GMC’s Offshore Products Manager, Alpha Mahatvaraj, gave a presentation on potential cost savings by using GMC’s Mechanical Connectors on Free Standing Hybrid Risers (FSHR). Mr. Mahatvaraj presented cost exercises explaining how operators can save 30 percent or more on FSHR’s by using Mechanical Connectors. Mr. Mahatvaraj also explained how the connectors work and some other cost saving and enabling applications for the product.
